I don't understand why anyone would want to destroy this wonderful place. These photographs of the current state of the theatre show a very restorable building. If the people of Troy hope to bring their downtown back to life, they need this theatre up and running.
I recently attended a show at the Paramount Theater in Rutland VT, which was recently restored. We ate dinner at a wonderful restaurant which opened after the theater was restored and window shopped at some of the new stores downtown.
Look at any city which has restored one of these treasures and you will see how it has helped to bring life back to many fading downtowns. Restoring this theatre will do the same for Troy.
